Alcohol Addiction Treatment
Alcohol withdrawal can be dangerous, which is why treatment at Bennett Recovery starts with safe medical detox and continues through therapy, relapse prevention, and long-term aftercare. You get evidence-based care at every stage, built around where you are now and what your recovery needs next.
How Bennett Recovery Treats Alcohol Addiction
Alcohol withdrawal can be dangerous in a way that other drugs are not. Stopping suddenly after heavy, long-term drinking can trigger seizures, high blood pressure, and a severe condition called delirium tremens. That is why your treatment starts with a clinical assessment. We look at how much you drink, how long, your health history, and any mental health symptoms, then match you to the right level of care.
If your body needs it, you begin with medically supervised detox, where staff manage withdrawal and keep you safe. From there you move into residential programming or step down to an intensive outpatient program.
If depression, anxiety, or trauma drive your drinking, we treat both conditions together. Splitting them apart leaves the real problem untouched.
Therapies We Use
No two people arrive with the same history, so your care plan is built to fit yours. It combines therapies with a track record: cognitive behavioral therapy to change the thinking that drives use, group therapy to practice honesty with people who get it, and family support to repair the relationships around you. When it's clinically appropriate, medication-assisted treatment is part of the plan too.
