Acupuncture

Acupuncture is one of the treatment options built into care plans at Bennett Recovery. Thin needles placed at specific points can ease withdrawal discomfort, cravings, and the sleep problems that come with early recovery. You work with practitioners who fold it into the rest of your plan, not in place of it.

How Acupuncture Works in Treatment

Acupuncture involves placing thin, sterile needles at specific points on your body. A session runs quiet and still. You lie down, the needles go in (most people feel little more than a light pinch), and you rest for about twenty to forty minutes. In recovery, acupuncture can ease anxiety, calm cravings, and help with the sleep problems that often come with early sobriety. Licensed clinicians build it into your full treatment plan, not as a stand-in for other care. As you progress, they adjust how and when you use it based on what your body responds to.
